Photo Album: https://photos.app.goo.gl/QuW5JQQJL6emqhb68 This week was a wild one and definitely flew by. Merry Christmas to everyone reading this letter, I feel so weird to be not with my family for Christmas and to not really celebrate as much. This week we were out of our area for 4 days due to some shenanigans. We had Zone conference on Tuesday and it was so powerful. The night leading up to Zone conference we stayed in the uni Zone leaders apartment with the AP staying there as well and it was so fun. Of course we had to Focus On Christ and the birth of our savior. President Hoffman gave some incredible detail on the birth of Christ and how we can better teach that to our friends. The second part of it was a musical performance by many missionaries and many Musical numbers. The spirit was so strong and it was so powerful. After the whole thing we had an amazing dinner and then did a whole white elephant with everyone there. In the end of everything I got a baguette that said J...

Week 18; ❄️☃️Merry Christmas🎅🎄

Photo Album: https://photos.app.goo.gl/QuW5JQQJL6emqhb68 We spent the day with the Uni ZLs at Penn State campus on Tuesday. Being in Johnstown for the last 3 and 1/2 months, I've already been to Penn State a few times and I love it more each time. I was with elder ridgewell and he is an incredible missionary. He speaks fluent Spanish and so we talked with a lot of people who speak Spanish and I just did not understand anything. We had zero lessons that day and so after lunch we just walked around campus for 10 hours straight and it was really fun but really demanding. My legs were pretty sore the next day. One thing that was pretty weird was that we talked with pretty much the same type of people all day. They all had the same type of religious background and so we pretty much taught the same things all day, I think it was a lesson from God that that's something that we needed to work on and so he put those people in our path. They were all people who really did not grow up ...

Week 14; Snowed In ❄️

Photo Album: https://photos.app.goo.gl/QuW5JQQJL6emqhb68 When we were doing calls one night, we originally were just calling a random person in our area and it ended up being a completely different person and the wrong number. The person we were originally calling was a girl named Kelly but, a guy ended up answering. He was really cool and we ended up just talking for a while getting to know him and talking about our beliefs in the Book of Mormon and how that helps us grow closer to Jesus Christ. He said that he was skeptical because he didn't know how we got his number but I ended up explaining that to him. He said that he'd be at church and he ended up calling back right after to clarify on some things concerning the Book of Mormon and where that all happened. On Saturday we went on an exchange with Altoona once again. I was with Elder Eldredge once again. He's an incredible missionary and I'm always so grateful to serve around him. It was an amazing day but a sho...

New Companion!

Photo Album: https://photos.app.goo.gl/QuW5JQQJL6emqhb68 This week was transfers and I got a new companion but I am staying in Johnstown. This is going to be my third transfer in Johnstown and I'm actually so excited and relieved that I didn't get transferred because I love this area and the people inside of it. Even though Johnstown is known for its unaccountability, this ward is amazing and I love the missionary work out here. My new companion is Elder Ashby and he is an awesome guy. It feels so weird not to have Elder Kress as my companion. Elder Ashby is from Rexburg Idaho and is a very knowledgeable and smart guy concerning the scriptures. He is only one transfer ahead of me and so we are both very young missionaries, but I'm excited to learn from him. I'm assuming that this will be my last transfer in Johnstown, but hopefully I'll get to train next to answer because I actually just want to train so badly. I also get the opportunity to lead out the area of J...

Week 12; Transfer Week

Photo Album: https://photos.app.goo.gl/QuW5JQQJL6emqhb68 I went on an exchange with Elder Eldredge in Johnstown so I got to lead out the area. It was an odd day, but I learned a lot from Elder Eldredge. We did some Scripture Mastery in the morning and I got to use some of the scriptures we discussed in some of the chats we had with people we stopped by. We got to stop by our recents converts Dereck and Grayson. We were originally going to talk about the gospel with them, but we ended up talking about the word of wisdom. We also chastised them on social media and specifically TikTok. Tami had been struggling with a coffee addiction and so it was hard for her. We had a suprise member meal with the altoona sisters with a member who goes to the Altoona Chapel, but lives in the Johnstown area so we got to go to that. They had to go home so they couldn't stay overnight. When we went to the Sheetz to re-exchange, Elder Eldredge stopped this couple and invited them to church. The lady w...
