Week 21; idk

Photo Album: https://photos.app.goo.gl/QuW5JQQJL6emqhb68 It's only been a couple days and it's already pday again because our pday was on Wednesday last week. So there's not that much to talk about but it was a pretty fun few days full of lots of cold and miracles. When we came to the area we had a couple friends that the sisters had been teaching, one of them is this cool foreign exchange student that is attending Penn State Harrisburg named Tanish. We've been meeting with him at the Hardee's next to the campus and it's been so fun to teach him these past few days. We have been helping him a lot with some things he's going through that he hadn't really opened up to the other missionaries as much before. He really wants to be baptized but just needs to work out a few things in his life first in order to do so. He doesn't have a car and so we had to get him a ride pretty last minute to church but he made it and he loved it. It was really funny because of the boundary changes, there were so many people at the building and so it looked like a Utah Ward. We had in exchange with the Hummelstown elders and you was super fire. I was with Elder Fackrel and we had an amazing day, but it was so cold. The temperature got down to the single digits but the real feel was in the negatives, probably the coldest day we've had this winter so far. Despite the freezing cold we had an amazing day. We taught some of their friends Jasmine and John the Gospel of Jesus Christ and it was a super spiritual lesson. We also found a lot of really cool people. One of them being this awesome guy named Thompson who while we were standing out in the freezing cold agreed to a church tour. Couple days later he showed up with his family and came to church as well and they all want to be baptized, what a miracle. Elder Fackrel is an amazing missionary and I am trying to take a lot of attributes from him that I want to work on for myself including just having tons of charity for people and smiling in the work. There's lots of boundary changes currently happening in the areas around us and it's affecting a lot of the work. For this Sunday we had a fast and testimony meeting combined with the Lebanon Ward while we discussed who would be going where. They're creating a whole entire new Ward called the Hummelstown Ward and splitting the Hershey war boundaries completely in half. Instead of going to the building that's closest to us, we're going all the way to the Lebanon Building for church every Sunday which is pretty far. Most of our friends, pretty much all of them are going to be going to the Hummelstown elders and we are going to be left with not that much. We have so many amazing people that were talking to and it's going to be pretty sad to see them go, but I know they'll be in good hands. We're going to have to pretty much start from scratch but the work still continues. As I've ponder the mysteries of the spirit world, I'm reminded of the Savior's mission to 'preach unto the spirits in prison' (1 Peter 3:18-19). This profound doctrine reveals that Christ's atonement extends beyond the grave, offering hope to those who didn't have the opportunity to hear the gospel in mortality. The spirit world is a place of learning and progression, where the spirits of the deceased continue to exist and receive instruction (1 Peter 4:6). Elder D. Todd Christofferson taught, 'The spirit world is a place of learning, a place of teaching, a place of instruction' (Ensign, Nov. 2013, 99). In Doctrine and Covenants, we're told that the spirits of those who have passed on 'are without a body, to receive a fullness of joy' (D&C 138:50). This suggests that the spirit world is a place of joy and happiness, where individuals can continue to grow and progress. As I strive to understand this complex topic, we're encouraged to 'seek learning, even by study and also by faith' (D&C 88:118). May we seek to learn more about the spirit world and the Savior's mission there, and may we be filled with hope and gratitude for the plan of salvation. Heavenly Father's plan is one of infinite love and mercy, and I'm grateful for the Savior's atonement, which makes it possible for all to return to Him. May we strive to be messengers of His love and light to those around us. With Love, Elder Batman
